Maldives Solo Travel - Itinerary & Full Budget Report for 5 days 4 nights | MYTRAVELLICIOUS

As I was traveled in Maldives alone, the budget was quiet high especially the cost of accommodation, but still within my budget. Just for your info, I had chosen the cheapest hotel with a good review on the net. The best number to travel here is 4 persons where you can split up the cost, especially the room and transportation such as taxi. But if you are planning to stay at the private island resort, the price is 5-10 times higher. But it’s up to you. Your call.

You need to plan very well especially the accommodation. Some of the private resort the price is cheap but you need to consider the transportation to reach there, such as speedboat transfer or private seaplane transfer which cost you a fortune.

The food cost I considered average in here, but the fast food is really expensive. Try to find local restaurant whenever you are in Hulhumale or Male, eapecially Briyani Rice. In Maafushi, the dinner buffet is really worth the money and considered cheap with all the fresh seafoods barbecue.

At the total budget, you can see I spend most of my money in USD currency. In local currency, MVR, for 5 days, I only spend around 410MVR. So from here, you can plan how much you want to change your money to MVR.

For the activities, if you not staying in private resort, you need to go for the full day private resort tour, then you will have a very good Maldives picturesque photo. And in Maafushi, sign-up for Half day snorkeling+sand bank+dolphin watching, as its not that expensive and worth it.
